Level II market depth is available with Boxcar Trading. These monthly fees are the direct exchange costs, passed through with no markup. Boxcar does not earn anything from them.

What Level II adds
Level I shows the best bid, best ask and last traded price. Level II adds the displayed buy and sell quantities at multiple price levels, giving you a deeper view of market liquidity beyond the current quote.
- Depth of market (DOM): see resting bids and offers on a price ladder.
- Liquidity visualization: use compatible depth maps or heatmaps to track where displayed orders build, move or disappear.
- Order-flow context: compare resting liquidity with executed trades to understand trading activity.
Which exchanges do you need?
Choose CME-only if you need depth for contracts such as ES, MES, NQ or MNQ. Choose the four-exchange bundle if you also need depth for CBOT, NYMEX or COMEX products.

Activate it in your dashboard
Level II activation is self-service on the Boxcar website.
- Sign in to your Boxcar account dashboard.
- Choose the CME-only or four-exchange Level II package and complete activation in the dashboard.
- Once the subscription is active, reconnect your trading platform and open its market-depth view for a contract on an included exchange.
Use it with your trading tools
Level II supplies the data for professional-grade market-depth and order-flow analysis in compatible software. NinjaTrader's SuperDOM displays bid and ask quantities on a price ladder; platforms such as Bookmap can visualize liquidity as a heatmap.
The data subscription covers exchange data. Your platform's license, enabled features and connection determine the visualizations available; software or add-on fees may be separate.
If depth is missing
Confirm that your subscription is active, the contract's exchange is included and your platform has market depth enabled. Reconnect using your Boxcar trading credentials and check the contract month.
If you still see only the best bid and ask, send support your account ID, platform, contract symbol and a screenshot with credentials removed.
