Choose personal or business registration
You can register as an individual or through a business you are authorized to represent. You do not need written approval before registering a business.
For a business, enter its full legal name in both the First name and Last name fields. Check those fields again when completing registration, including if you sign in with Google.
Each trader may have only one permanent Boxcar profile, either personal or business. You cannot convert between the two or close, deactivate, or replace a profile to create another. Choose before completing registration.
Verify the business before receiving payouts
Payouts from a business profile must go to that business, not to you personally. Before a business payout can be released, provide:
- Proof of formation, such as Articles of Incorporation or a Certificate of Formation.
- Proof of ownership, such as an Operating Agreement or shareholder record.
- Government-issued photo ID for each person who owns 25% or more of the business.
Already registered personally?
Keep your existing personal profile. A business profile cannot replace it, and creating another profile would violate the one-profile rule. You can correct your name and contact details in My Profile without changing your account type.
